Angela Walch’s chapter on software developers mentioned in a legal decision

In 2019 the book “Regulating Blockchain: Techno-Social and Legal Challenges” was published and our board member Angela Walch wrote the chapter “In Code(rs) we trust: Software Developers as Fiduciaries in Public Blockchains” for it.

This chapter has been recently referred to in the decision for Tulip Trading Limited (A Seychelles Company) vs Bitcoin Association. The case discusses whether bitcoin developers may owe fiduciary duties or duties in tort to an owner of bitcoin.
