Blockchain Intelligence welcomed the CEOs of Verband der Sparda-Banken, a German banking group, in Madrid as part of their learning journey to learn about the economic situation in Spain.
During their visit, Blockchain Intelligence CEO Almudena de la Mata gave a two-hour lecture ‘Blockchain im Banking: Kryptoassets, Tokenisierung und digitaler Euro’ focused on the digital euro, cryptocurrencies and tokenization in the banking sector. De la Mata addressed how the digital euro can revolutionize cross-border payments and increase operational efficiency, as well as the growing role of cryptocurrencies in the global financial system. She also highlighted the opportunities of tokenization for banks that enable the creation of new business models and greater transaction security. These topics are crucial for the banking sector in a context of accelerated digital transformation and adaptation to emerging technologies.
The Verband der Sparda-Banken delegation also visited the German Chamber of Commerce for Spain, where CEO Walther von Plettenberg gave a lecture on the ‘Current framework conditions of the Spanish economy’.
