German Spanish Digital Industry Day 2026 | Driving Digital Transformation in Public Sector and Industry

On 30 April 2026, the German-Spanish Digital Industry Day 2026 will take place in Madrid in a hybrid format, bringing together institutional representatives, industry leaders and technology experts. The event will explore whether Europe is ready to lead the next phase of digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
Organised by the German-Spanish Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Spain, the event will welcome Thomas Jarzombek, from the German Federal Ministry for Digitalisation and State Modernisation. Alongside him, institutional representatives, technology companies and industrial leaders will analyse how digitalisation and AI are reshaping both the public sector and industrial ecosystems in Europe from a strategic perspective.
The programme will open with institutional remarks by Mischa Groh (German-Spanish Chamber of Commerce) and Maria Margarete Gosse (Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Spain), followed by keynote interventions from Alberto Gago Fernández (Spanish Agency for the Supervision of Artificial Intelligence) and Thomas Jarzombek.
The programme will address two main areas. The first is the digitalisation of the public sector, with an emphasis on efficiency, data-driven governance and scalable public services. The second focuses on the impact of artificial intelligence on industry, from automation to competitive advantage and real-world deployment at scale.
A dedicated panel on AI will be moderated by Almudena de la Mata, CEO of Blockchain Intelligence, offering a strategic perspective on how organisations are integrating AI into their operations and decision-making processes.
The event will also include institutional contributions and a closing keynote on the role of artificial intelligence in Europe’s digital competitiveness. Conducted in English, it will be available both on-site and via live stream, providing a platform for exchange on the key challenges and opportunities shaping Europe’s digital future.
