Farewell Symposium “The Future of Digitalization and Finance”

Our CEO Almudena de la Mata has been invited to speak at the Farewell Symposium The Future of Digitalization and Finance organized by Deutsche Bundesbank on March 22nd.
The symposium holds particular significance as it marks the departure of Joachim Würmeling, the Executive Board Member of Deutsche Bundesbank. Würmeling’s tenure has been marked by a steadfast commitment to navigating the complexities of finance amidst the digital revolution.
The event will start with the welcome by Joachim Nagel, the President of Deutsche Bundesbank, and will be followed by the panel discussion on “Digital Finance: Does it change the trade-off between risk and resilience?”. Claudia Buch will open the session, and Benoît Cœuré, President of the Autorité de la concurrence and the Center for Economic Research and its Applications, Stefan Ingves, Chair of the Board of Directors at Toronto Centre, and Tokiko Shimizu, Assistant Governor at Bank of Japan, will share their insights.
Almudena de la Mata is slated to share insights and perspectives alongside Prof. Dr. Jürgen Bott from the University of Applied Sciences in Kaiserslautern at the panel titled “The Digital Euro: A New Anchor for Stability in Europe?”, which will be kicked off with introduction remarks by Joachim Würmeling. This panel is poised to explore the transformative potential of digital currencies, particularly in the context of Europe’s economic stability.
